we're blogging!

Hello Friends and Family

Hopefully you'll enjoy this little edition to our connection time with you. We decided that periodic updates on family stuff would be good for keeping in touch. That way, when you want to check up on us, you can look at everything in our history rather than having to always worry about deleting our emails from your inbox! Let us know what you think! We hope to be able to give you a snapshot into our homelife every once in a while through this. If you like, you can subscribe to it, and then you can get an email each time we update it!

In other news, Samuel turned 7 weeks yesterday, and is almost sleeping through the night (....I can just feel it coming!). We sure will be relieved when that happens. His first smile was last week...boy did that feel good! He's gaining weight well...we're so proud of the little fat rolls on his legs.

Lily is really enjoying swimming every day at Miss Kim's mom's pool. She has got the horizontal down (even with arms), its the vertical part that's killing (no pun intended) her :). She is absolutely unafraid no matter how little she breathes. Her new phrase is "I say goodmorning!" especially when she doesn't want to take a nap, but its especially welcomed when she says it with a smile on her face when we wake her up.

Elliot loves to show his emotions (two years old, it is!). He squeals with excitement, giggles with joy, screams when he's frustrated, and says "happened?" when he's concerned. Its amazing to see his language develop. He is starting to talk so well! He is so caring for others. The other day he went into the nursery for a while and was just helping and talking to the kids and being so sweet and gentle. He just went through a growth spurt and is finally 90 cms tall (which, for those of you who don't do the metric system, means that he can go into all the play areas...ikea was much more peaceful than ever today!).

We leave Singapore for BKK then Germany on Wednesday...should have more to write after that flight!

with our love...
