But today, a blog post happened upon us. We'll call it...the incident.
Today, I went to the store to get some things while the kids were taking a nap (don't worry...Nick was here). Lily, as often happens, was avoiding taking nap by the usual means (i.e. "I'm hungry," "Its not dark," "I want water," etc). Today her pick was "I have to go to the bathroom." She knows that one is a winner because we're afraid to call her bluff (because of previous experiences).
Nick was sitting down in the dining room on his computer, and she kept coming down, so he finally told her to use the one in our room so she would be less likely to use that excuse to get some attention. When he went to wake the kids up from their nap, he noticed hair all up and down the stairs leading up to Lily's room...hmmm.
Lesson learned: Never, never ever never ever *ever* ever never never leave scissors within reach of a three year old, even if they're in your bathroom: your three-year-old will inevitably give herself a mullet (though I hear they're coming back!).

I think all kids at one time or another give themself a "hair cut"
we're you able to fix it?????? grandma can hardly wait to hear!!!
I can relate. I tried to fix Aspen's hair last night after she gave herself a haircut on Wednesday.
Ohh noooo!!! At least you got a picture.
oh my oh my. at least we can buzz jeshurun's hair and say it was on purpose!!! i'm so sorry. and i can't remember how many times we remarked about her long hair the last time we saw her. :( i love it that she's smiling in the picture.
and, at least it's cheaper than crankin' up the AC in the kids room...
What's up, we need a new post!
