Jed was born...and here we are today...7 weeks later.

So I wrote down the birth story but i am getting overwhelmed just thinking about how much i need to catch up on. So, we're going to skip it for now and come back to it later.

Life has been crazy at the Shores' house since then, though...very fun, but crazy!

So, little snapshots.

Sam loves Jed, his baby brother, and from the time we brought him home started saying "bay bee bay bee" when he started crying and how he says "hi" and "i love you" and tries to kiss him, rock him, and is very sweet. It is so great to see him love him so much.

Lily likes to hold Jed (along with everyone else). Its fun having one that's old enough to really remember him. She listens to everything we say, too...so we have to be careful :)

Elliot's language development is getting a lot better. He speaks super clearly and enunciates every syllable well. He also makes the silliest faces and sounds when he talks. We love to watch him! The other day, I had to say, "Don't bark at the lizards..." He's a funny quirky kid.

Before Jed was born, we told the kids to pray that God would give them a name for the baby (we were having a lot of difficulty deciding what to call him). So, one day Lily woke up and said that God told her his name was "Raz." Interesting, we thought. Turns out, though, that we liked Jed, but when we tried to look up a meaning for Raz, the closest we found was "Erasmus," which means "beloved" just like Jedidiah, from which we got 'Jed.' Sometimes Elliot and Lily still call him "Baby-Ras-and-Baby-Jed."

Well, that's a little picture of our world. The big picture would fill lots of books and you would probably get bored with it :)

Jed is now 7 weeks and smiling occasionally and its fun to see the other kids trying to make him laugh.
