we're just going to pretend that I have been blogging regularly and get on with it.

I mean, season of resurrection and all, right?

I have a story to tell you.

It started with dead mice on our doorstep two consecutive days in a row. I thought it was either the dogs or the rat poison, so I didn't think much about it.

Then I woke up one morning to one of our dogs (the other one is VERY laid back) barking ferociously into the darkness, for long enough that I had to check (read: I woke Nick up to check because I was kind of scared) what was going on. She was barking at a cat!

Then last night while the dogs were in their cage, but the dog food was already out for them to find, I hear mewing. I look out the window, and see the cat again, eating the dogs' food!

Today, I am going to water the plants on a ledge outside of our house (actually a pile of items that belong to the landlord), and there sitting behind the lavender was the sweet little kitty taking a rest in a place the dogs couldn't get her (we'll call it a her--I haven't checked).

So, we might have a new pet cat who might actually kill things like snakes and rats better than our dogs!

Been learning lots lately that I want to share with you...we'll see how I take to blogging again...
